Experienced painter offers faux wood painting and more
Logan Perry has been painting for twenty-five years. When he was a youngster, he helped his grandparents with painting projects, and that experience came in handy during college when his math professor hired him to paint his rental properties. When he finished college in 1997, he worked for a contractor for a few months helping to paint a new residential build. From there, he launched out and started his own business, with his sister helping on job sites as well.
White Glove Perfection
Logan spent the next two years in Romania, and returned to the states to attend seminary in Massachusetts. It was during his time at seminary that Perry Painting began to grow. Among his first clients were owners of a grandeur home filled with beautiful, expensive art and decor. Logan and his team would don white gloves and carefully move the pieces before painting the walls.
It was then that Logan determined that he would treat every future home he worked in with the same white glove perfection.
In fact, perfection is a word you might use to describe his work. He is a clean painter; painting straight lines where walls meet ceilings or floors, careful not to make drip lines, making sure the paint dries evenly, and leaving his clients extremely satisfied with his work.
Ask anyone who’s dealt with an inexperienced painting crew (or tried to DIY) and you’ll quickly learn the value in what Perry Painting has to offer!
When Logan Perry is finished with a paint job inside a client’s home, the only sign that he was even there will be the beautiful new coat of paint on the walls. Logan believes in leaving his workspace nicer than it was before.
Wait, that’s not wood?
Logan also offers a unique skill called faux painting. This means, he is able to create a “wood look” finish on surfaces that are not wood at all; including doors, shutters, beams, fireplace surrounds, and more. He has a certificate from The Faux School in Maryland, and his clients have been amazed at his work - turning the look of fiberglass doors and vinyl shutters into a realistic looking wood-grain.
He is also able to do restoration paint work, where he can paint and stain new pieces to match existing woodwork that has a patina due to age. A great example of this was when he was hired by a carpenter who was adding an addition to a hundred year old library building. Logan was able to create a flawless flow from the old to the new by matching the building addition with the fir wood in the standing building because of his Faux Painting work. The addition to the building blended beautifully.
